Dixie Trucker's Home and Route 66 Hall of Fame ΓÇó the Dixie Truckers Home has been one of the foremost fueling stations on Route 66 since 1928.  Serving a house specialty of broasted chicken and gravy-smothered mashed potatoes, the truck stop has closed only once, when a fire scorched it's kitchen in 1965.  I-55& U.S. 136, tel# 309-874-2323
